Morning Keynote - The White House's Ambitious New Cyber Offensive
Trevor Rudolph
Chief of the Cyber and National Security Unit
Office of E-Government and IT, Office of Management and Budget

The Federal Cybersecurity Strategy and Implementation Plan, announced at the end of October, is an ambitious initiative aimed at keeping cybersecurity a high national priority.

With several high profile cyber-attacks and breaches in the past year, the plan succinctly focuses on encompassing efforts. Creating critical processes and establishing best practices along with recruiting and retaining a top cyber workforce are featured prominently in this plan. It will also create a partnership between the government and industry in order to develop and leverage the best of existing, new, and emerging technology.

Trevor Rudolph, Chief at OMB's Cyber and National Security Unit, played a critical role in the execution of the plan's prequel "Sprint" and is instrumental in managing the new Implementation Plan.

Don't miss this exciting keynote as Trevor reveals what we can expect moving forward. He'll identify the principal parts, how our information will be better protected, and how a public sector and private sector partnership will safeguard all aspects of our national and economic security.

Since 2006, security incidents have increased over 1000% (US-CERT). With notable breaches of OPM, Sony, and Kaspersky, it's time for a full analysis of our Cybersecurity playbook. Why are we being targeted? What are their motives and do they vary from government to industry? If we can profile the attackers, will it lead to a better defense?

Our panel of top level government officials and industry experts will explore the motives and methods behind cyber-attacks, cutting edge best plays that can be shared between government and industry, strategies to fend off attacks and thwart threats, the latest technology capabilities, and the future of Cybersecurity.

Join us and learn how it's possible to beat the attackers at their own game.
